I can’t believe that it is already 2020. I had so many books to write about and I didn’t finish writing about any of them. Since I finished reading Valentina by S.E. Lynes, I’ve read The Friend by Teresa Driscoll, 29 Seconds by T. M. Logan, The Promise by Teresa Driscoll, The Other Wife by Claire McGowan, Brother’s Ruin by Emma Newman, Weaver’s Lament by Emma Newman, and am currently reading Skin Deep by Liz Nugent, The Stopover by T.L Swan (I should have checked the genre first before I bought it) and a book I picked up in the airport called The Couple Next Door by Shari Lapena.
I didn’t expect to read any more in the new year but some of the books I just flew right through. Brother’s Ruin by Emma Newman was one of those books where you get to the end and you feel like you’ve only just gotten into the story, like the end of the introduction. I obviously had to buy the second book in the series then, Weaver’s Lament. I was really looking forward to seeing what happened, but I was again left feeling like I only just got to the end of the introduction. I’ll eventually get around to reviewing the books but I must say while Emma Newman is one of my all time favorite authors, and I couldn’t stop reading these books, I don’t know how great I felt about the story. I’m sure i’ll sit down and write a review soon enough.
